We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lead Mechanic/Technician to maintain our diverse fleet of approximately 130 units. This includes everything from commuter cars and pickups (gas and diesel) to work vans, forklifts, excavators, scissor lifts, skid steers, dump trucks, various trailers and tools.

This includes everything from commuter cars and pickups (gas and diesel) to work vans, forklifts, excavators, scissor lifts, skid steers, dump trucks, various trailers and tools.
About the Role:
You'll be working in our 4,000 sq ft mechanic bay (built 7 years ago). The work area is clean, well-lit, and has heated concrete floors. We provide all necessary tools and are open to acquiring additional tools based on your needs. You're also welcome to bring your own.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanics team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work.
- Perform hands-on repairs, rebuilding, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Balance team management with hands-on mechanical work.
- Communicate effectively regarding project needs, timelines, expectations, and work status.
- Prioritize repair/maintenance needs in alignment with company goals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workshop.
- Perform welding/fabrication as needed. Training can be provided.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Manage a basic inventory of parts, filters, oils, and lubricants to ensure timely service.
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling when critical on-site equipment repairs are necessary.
- Maintain a good driving record.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Strong work ethic and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness.
- Welding/fabrication skills are a plus, but training is available.
- Must have a good driving record. A valid CDL is a plus.
- Must be drug-free.
