POSITION SUMMARY:
The project engineer position is a dynamic, hands-on role embedded in all phases of the project – from preconstruction through closeout. It requires organization, coordination and execution.
The ideal candidate will work alongside project management, estimating and purchasing to build deep knowledge of construction operations, materials, scheduling and design support. This is a development position, expected to support the project team through the full project lifecycle, and to grow into a future Project Manager role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule and participate in pre-job planning meetings. Follow up with action items.
  • Manage long-lead item tracking and buy-out discussions.
  • Assist with cost-to-complete tracking and budget updates.
  • Coordinate early design input, contract details and support documentation.
  • Manage submittals, RFI support and prefab plan.
  • Set up project schedules.
  • Track and coordinate material deliveries.
  • Monitor sub installations and inspections.
  • Track and manage project milestones.
  • Maintain and update takeoffs and submittals.
  • Coordinate final testing and inspections.
  • Assist with OEMs and owner training handoff.
  • Participate in post-job reviews and document feedback.
  • Ensure drawings and documentation are turned over properly.
